ABOUT ME
My name is Aleks Wasowska and I'm the owner of PuppyPro. As a child, I was always naturally drawn to animals, in particular dogs. Our first family dog, a Great Dane, was a Schutzhund trained dog. I attended all the training sessions alongside my father, and this is where my passion for dog training began.
It quickly became apparent that I had a connection with dogs and could communicate with them with ease. The first dog I trained on my own was my miniature poodle, we participated in a variety of dog sports such as obedience, agility, trick training and scent work.
Naturally, I decided to fully immerse myself into dog behaviour and training, firstly gaining real life experience, shadowing great trainers and behaviourists from all walks of life and with varying training techniques. Over the last 15 years I was able to gain real hands on experience and find the style of training that I truly believe in. I want the dog to work WITH me and its owners, not FOR me, we're a team.
I also attend a number of seminars, workshops and have earned Higher Certificates: The Canine Behaviourist, Advanced Dog on Dog Aggression and Advanced Dog on Person Aggression. I always read new research into dog behaviour and stay up to date with my knowledge.
Wanting to join my interest in biology with my love for dogs, I became certified and DEFRA approved in Canine Fertility, Pet Ultrasound and a Microchip Implanter. You can view my current certificates here, I am also fully insured to work with you and your dog.
I am thrilled to be able to dedicate my life to training dogs, helping people, pursuing my interests in science and devoting my life to dogs.
